Superfast broadband up to 24Mb

If you or your family love online gaming, you've started watching film trailers or enjoying catch-up TV programmes online, or you spend most of your life on iTunes, you might be finding that your current up to 1, 2 or even 8 meg broadband speed is not fast enough.

So what are the alternatives? There are much faster broadband deals on the market - up to 24 meg (although as with all broadband deals, you probably won't get the full advertised broadband speed).

Super fast broadband packages include:

• 02 Premium broadband - only £10 a month for up to 16Mb if you have an 02 pay-monthly mobile contract (otherwise £20 per month)

• Virgin Media cable broadband Size XL - was up to 10Mb, now rolling out at up to 20Mb. Standard price is(£37 per month though they currently offer cheaper cable broadband if you also take a Virgin Media phone package (so XL broadband is only £23.50 per month with the phone package)
  
  
• Be broadband Unlimited for home - £18 per month
  
  
• Be Broadband Pro for offices - £22 per month - up to 24Mb download speeds. (Be Broadband have been expanding their network and now cover large areas of Britain.)
  
  
• UK Online up to 16Mb, only £24.99 per month
  
  
• Sky Broadband Max up to 16 Meg (price varies as you can build your own bundle)

Easyspace broadband now faster and cheaper

Broadband and hosting provider Easyspace has reduced the prices of its broadband packages - and made them a whole lot faster, for home or business!

Easyspace Starter Broadband is now only £15.99 a month for up to 1Mb - ideal for emailing and light web surfing.

And Easyspace Pro Broadband is now only £25.99 a month for up to 8Mb! A fast broadband package for uploading photos, downloading MP3s, viewing movie trailers, shopping online are all simple with the Pro Broadband package.

Easyspace Business Broadband is only £20.99 per month, now for up to 2Mb, ideal for those who work from home or run their own small online business.

More superfast broadband packages

More broadband providers are starting to offer superfast broadband deals (10 meg and above). Check some of them out below.

Virgin broadband via Cable Size: XL, up to 10 meg, now only £29 per month for 12 months. Offer ends 30/06/07.

Up to 16 meg. Sign up for a Sky bundle and if you select the MAX broadband option you can get up to 16 meg. Package prices vary.

Unlimited Broadband from UK Online for only £24.99 per month. With 22Mb there's no limit to what you can do online.

With Be Broadband you could get up to 24Mb download speed for only £14 to £24 a month! Be Unlimited, Be Lite, and Be Pro.

Make sure you check broadband availability in your area as these superfast packages may not be available to everyone. Superfast broadband

If 8 Meg isn't fast enough for you, there are now broadband providers offering up to 24 Meg for home broadband connections.

Okay, in other countries they may be enjoying speeds like this as a matter of course, but as it isn't that long since a 512k download speed was the height of online sophistication in the UK we can still allow ourselves to get a little excited by genuinely superfast broadband.

Of course, the usual proviso applies - speeds are "up to" and not guaranteed.

The fastest speeds are available from broadband providers who use their own networks, whether phone line or cable.

The best known superfast broadband provider is probably Be. They have been expanding their network coverage significantly from London-only to include many areas of the UK. You can click here to find out if your local exchange has been enabled for Be broadband. Be broadband prices are very low for the speed - only £14 a month for their Be Lite package.

Cable provider Virgin Media is offering up to 10 Mb on its cable broadband package XL for £35 a month - and you get a one-off discount of £10 if you order online.

UK Online uses its own network for its up to 22 Meg broadband service. There's an offer at the moment too - order before 30/04/07 and get the service for only £24.99 per month for the first year (usual price is £29.99 per month). And they are currently waiving the £25 connection fee for this package.
